A face lift generally takes one and a half to three hours, and requires only local anesthesia with mild sedation. Dr. Baroudi begins by drawing a fine incision along the hairline and ear contour, and, if necessary, creating a second small incision under the chin. He then tightens and repositions the loose skin and neck muscles, and delicately removes small amounts of excess fat from around the face and neck. A dressing is then applied to your face and scalp to speed the recovery process.

There is generally very little discomfort following a facial plastic surgery, and after a brief recovery period, you will enjoy a more vibrant and youthful look in your appearance than you have seen in years! Prescription medication manages what little pain you may experience, and your scalp and neck dressing can be removed the very next day! In fact, you will probably be able to shampoo your hair the day following your procedure! Some numbness throughout the cheek and neck skin can be expected for up to several months following the face lift. All stitches are removed within about two weeks of the face lift, leaving a beautiful, fresh new face! How exciting!
